Keep to a Schedule.

Sleep should be your priority. By keeping a consistent schedule of when you wake and go to sleep (including the weekends) will help you stay fresh and alert.

A Calming Bed Time Routine.

It is recommended to read a book, listen to calming music or soak in a warm bath. I personally like to do all of these at once.

The bedroom is a place of comfort.

Close all the blinds, shut all the windows to drowned out any light or noise. Take control of the environment and make your bedroom your haven of peace.

Inspect your mattress.

Typically when your mattress reaches 5 to 7 years of age it is time to get a new one. If your started to hurt or toss and turn all night it may be time for a new one.

Fast Paced World.

Keep all of your electronics out of the bedroom and work materials. This causes disconnect between you and your partner, and makes the bedroom an unsafe environment to get away from everything and just rest.

Exercise!

Regular exercise at least two hours before your go to sleep will help you get a more restful, peaceful sleep.
